Frequently asked questions
How do minutes work?
Cloud transcription uses 1 minute per minute of audio (rounded up, minimum 1). Summaries, translations and chat questions use 1 minute each. When you start a transcription, an estimate is reserved; when it finishes, the real duration is charged and any difference is returned. New users get free minutes, Voxt Pro adds more every paid period, and optional rewarded ads give a few extra minutes.
My transcription failed or is stuck. What now?
Minutes reserved for a failed job are returned automatically. Check your internet connection and try again with the same file. If it keeps failing, email us the approximate time and the file type and length.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the app, go to Settings (or the Pro screen) and tap Restore Purchases, using the same Apple ID or Google Play account that made the purchase. Pro and your minutes are re-linked to your device.
How do I cancel my subscription?
iOS: Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Voxt. Android: Google Play > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Voxt. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal (or before the free trial ends) to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are processed by Apple or Google. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: open your order history and request a refund, or see Google Play refund help.
I bought Pro but do not see it.
Use Settings > Restore Purchases, with the same store account and an internet connection. If it still does not appear, email us with a screenshot of your store receipt (no card numbers).
How do I delete my data?
Email us and we will delete your transcripts and history. Uploaded audio is automatically deleted after 90 days. See the Privacy Policy.
Does Voxt tell speakers apart?
Not currently. Transcripts are produced as continuous text.
